Why do I get a message stating that I am not connected to the Internet?

When scanning using an Apple mobile device, why do I get a message stating that I am not connected to the Internet?

This is intentionally designed and perfectly normal.

When presented with the iOS screen below, you have the option to choose either. However, if you want to connect to the ultrasound probe and the Internet simultaneously, select the option “Use Cellular Data.”

 

 

The iOS message indicates that when the Vave app connects to the ultrasound probe, it disconnects you from your regular Wi-Fi network, which is connected to the Internet, and connects you to the probe’s Wi-Fi network. This probe’s Wi-Fi is a direct connection between your mobile device and the ultrasound probe, not connected to the Internet. Once your Apple device detects a lack of internet connection, it displays the message above. However, an internet connection is not required during scanning. After scanning is complete and you disconnect from the probe, the Vave app will restore you to your original Wi-Fi network.
